Fill out the Ministry Inquiry Form. A link to this form follows this article which will initiate the application process for Ministry Representative. You will then receive a call from an ISI recruitment team member. This is a good question/answer time for both you and ISI. And if you have not yet visited a local ministry, you may be encouraged to do so first. Based upon these initial contacts, you may be invited to complete an official ISI Application.

Application. The Application to which you will be given access includes a variety of information to complete. You will also receive a release form to complete, authorizing ISI to perform a required background check further along in the process. Please complete these as quickly as possible. Reference information forms will then be sent out to those whom you list on the reference sheet.

Due Diligence. We'll be watching for the reference forms to be returned to our home office. Once they have been received, we will call some of those references completing our due diligence by asking further questions.

Exploring ISI Module. In the meantime, you 'll be connected with an ISI staff member who will coach you through only one of the three Exploring ISI Modules required of all ISI staff applicants (Min Rep applicants only complete the first module). By working through this self-paced module, you 'll discover more about ISI's mission, vision, and core values.

Interview. Your application package will be reviewed, then a personal interview will be scheduled at a location to be determined. If appropriate, an initial ministry budget might be developed during this visit. However, the ministry budget for Ministry Representatives includes only the following two components, should they choose to raise the funds to their ISI account:

  • Your Ministry Expenses (Min Reps qualify for reimbursement of expenses)
  • Your Staff Service Allocation (SSA = the ministry's administrative fee for all receipted donations)

Acceptance Paperwork. Once a decision has been made to accept the Min Rep applicant, you will be notified with a packet of information and paperwork that you will need to complete and return prior to starting employment. An account will be then set up for you to service your ministry budget.

This entire process may take anywhere from four to twelve weeks depending upon the promptness of your references and our related requirements of due diligence.

Options as a New Ministry Representative of ISI:

New Staff Orientation (NSO). At the point at which you are officially accepted by ISI, you will be invited (but Min Reps are not required) to attend the next scheduled NSO session held in Colorado Springs Colorado —ISI’s Home Office location. Besides meeting the national leadership of ISI, this session will familiarize you with ISI's ministry models, national objectives, and administrative services, as well as involve you in intensive training for support development.

Support Development. ISI provides extensive training in support development through our 100% Plus training program. No one is left to do this on their own! Should you choose to raise support for your ministry budget, we will coach and follow up with you while providing you with additional helps, hints, samples, and encouragement throughout the process. Accountability is part of the 100% Plus program, through various tools such as the First-Thing Monday Report.
